I was skeptical at first, though I do like to try new things, so I gave it a shot. Not knowing anything about VR I had my teacher assist with the setup. It was weird at first, all blurry. First, I watched
Crossing the border and at the risk of sounding childish, I screamed to the girl out loud, I picked my feet up because I saw rodents and other miscellaneous vile creatures on the ground. But it was crazy. I got to experience the journey that migrants take. At great cost to their lives and their children. I love VR it was an amazing experience.
Yes I agree. I think it is crazy that through such a small video you can really be transformed into their world. You dint just look at their world through your screen you are really there. You can almost feel what they are feeling. Great post.

ReplyDeleteAlthough I didn't quick react to everything in the videos like you did, I loved seeing the stories of the refugee's in VR and I thought it was the perfect way to see their lives and the struggles that they go through.
