Prison? Yeah It's Normal

Why does he seem like everything is fine? He understands he is a criminal and he killed a man, but he doesn't seem to be altered by that. Even when the magistrate came in and was talking to him he didn't seem phased by what was going on. The magistrate was yelling at him and he thought why is he yelling to me?

There's a lot going on in his life and he acts like everything is so normal. He also doesn't understand how law works and it kind of upsets me. He could have easily gotten out of it if he said he was still in sadness of Maman's death and that's what the motive of the murder was. This book is very strange.

  1. Benjamin Klinger, I frankly enjoy this subjective piece of writing. Even though its, ambiguous as to who, "he" is i very much enjoy the piece. What i loved is when you made a personal connection to whatever story this is with the line, "he doesn't understand how law works and it pisses me off." It forms a connection between you and whoever your talking about. Good work of writing.

  2. I feel that Meursault has realize the illusions of life hence giving reason why he doesn't care about most things. If he decided to lie or his character had emotional attachment to his mother than he is believing in a system which is not who is from what we have seen so far. I feel that Meursault's character is what gives Albert Camus's work magic.
