DAT GIRL CRAZY!!!

The first impression I got from reading the book Citizen is that the poetry was deeper than just racial prejudice that African Americans feel in society. The part in the book where Rankine talks about how Serena Williams showing frustration in a tennis match as she screams, throws down her racket and curses the referee and she is viewed as crazy since she is a black woman. When she yells at a referee, "I swear to God I'm f****** going to take this f****** ball and shove it down your f****** throat, you hear that? I swear to God!" one would say that she has gone insane, but Rankine says that this is just the "ordinary and daily anger".

Also the events that Rankine lays out in the book makes you create your own conclusions rather than having explanations at the end of the passage.
