Picture Books Are Not Just For Kids

I personally think that more books should contain pictures. Pictures are a visual aid. They provide context, conjure up emotions, and connect the text back to real life. I think pictures work especially well this book because of the focus on real people and real experiences. The picture that stands out to me the most in the book is the picture of Caroline Wozniacki making fun of Serena Williams. It shocks me every time I see it, and brings me back to the real world in a way I appreciate. Seeing it makes me think about how this happened to a real person in the world we are living in and it angers me.
