Best Book So Far
Citizen is great. It is better than all of the books we have read so far. It is better because it is short and it can hold interest because the stories are so short and it has a new topic every few pages so it keeps me on my toes. Tenth of December was also considered short stories but I, myself, do not consider fifty pages short. The Stranger was too boring, which is because what makes Meursault interesting is that he is so uninteresting. Beloved had potential to me to be a good book at the beginning, but it ended up being too long and it bored me. And that brings us to Citizen. It is an amazing book that is very relevant to culture, especially right now. It is not long, and the individual stories are short so it is not hard to read. The best part is that it has a lot of pictures, which most good books need.

I felt that The Stranger or Beloved was the best book, personally. Although I like Citizen, it's hard for me to grasp the style that Rankine writes with, and I feel as though I am missing something at every turn. I felt that Beloved connected to people as humans in a way like no other book, and I felt like The Stranger managed to say something both unique and know to everyone. I do agree that the 10th of December was not that good.
