Satirical Legends
This show is HIGHLY controversial to the average human for a reason, but for the satire fanatics this show may be heavenly. South Park picks on anyone or any issue without any remorse but in 2010 BP put a target on their backs with the huge oil spill. Although this was a huge incident that took years to fix, of course South Park found a way of making a joke out of it. In the episode that addressed it they created their satire by putting in a "we're sorry" video. The video came from the owner of the BP company and it consisted of just him saying "we're sorry" in a variety of tones and locations. But that wasn't the end, after the video and promise not to do it again, they did it again and of course another video followed with the same concept. The big issue that this was getting was that big companies get away with basically anything as long as they come out with an unapologetic apology or some type of deal for the consumers or supporters pain. In many aspects this is true and still applies today, last year with the whole H&M incident we saw how this applied, everything as fixed with one half off deal and an apology. We're Sorry video
