Whose Trump do You Prefer?

Alec Baldwin has enjoyed a bit of extra stardom these past few months as his recurring role of Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live. The show seems to be constantly making fun of the new President and Alec Baldwin has used his talents to make at least some of what Trump says more amusing by adding his own impressions.

One way that Alec Baldwin has satirize Trump is by portraying his already over the top personality as even more hyperbolic. He stretches what Trump say to its absolute verbal maximum making sure to include plenty for the audience to laugh about along the way. Another way Baldwin has made the Trump satire even more enjoyable is by making it, at times, in ironic. However, to some extent the whole bit is an irony as it is playing of the fact that some of our Presidents statements are sometimes stranger than fiction.

Below there is a link to the NBC web page where you can watch all of Alec Baldwins Trump Sketches, I highly recommend them as they are both incredibly interlining as well as excellent examples of satire.

  1. I think Alec Baldwin is hilarious when he does this, and it is also a good example of satire. Thanks for the link too.

  2. Baldwin's mannerisms are so over the top, yet, when I watch the authentic Trump, I realize that they're not so far off. It's slightly terrifying when you think about it.
