In this video, Kristen Bell tackles the topic of women in the workplace. She draws a connection between outsourcing products to "pinksourcing" - using women as the products of work. Kristen uses a lot of understatements and sarcasm to help bring her argument back full circle. By underselling women as these workers who do everything for nothing- unlike men- adds a lot of humor to help bring her bigger picture come to life.
Clearly, Kristen Bell does not support women getting paid less than men- and on top of that women of color getting paid even less. However, by saying "women will work for just 77 cents per dollar" helps the audience see the real issue of gender inequality in regards to jobs. This skit in itself seems almost like a parody of an informercial. She is almost selling women off like "oh hire these silly women look at all they can do worse than men" which only makes the true meaning hit stronger.
By having Kristen Bell be very sarcastic and underselling the women she is allowing the viewer to really pick up how wrongly women are treated in the workplace. It highlights really important and real issues such as the wage gap and lack of higher up females in major companies. This video is really important and while it is really funny it has some very important lines that are funny but in reality have the opposite meaning. In order to understand her sarcasm, you have to have some knowledge on the inequalities but it is a very short and sweet video that covers some good stuff!

This video is a great example of satire and it definitely gets its point across. It accurately depicts how women are viewed in the workplace and I like how Kristen Bell mentions the even larger wage gap for women of color. Great post Savi!
